Here, we believe all families should have access to expert pediatric health care
Kids aren’t small adults, and their health care needs are unique. With community support, we’re giving more kids access to world-class pediatric care through our growing health care system.
Not only is Children’s Hospital Colorado building and expanding care locations across the region — including a new hospital in Colorado Springs — we’re also deploying telehealth technologies that allow families to access our experts from anywhere in the world.
Thanks to donors, we’re growing and innovating to better serve the needs of children everywhere.
Peter was born with a craniofacial condition that caused extensive hearing loss and a cleft palate. His family lives in Colorado Springs, and they have spent countless hours traveling to Children’s Hospital Colorado on the Anschutz Medical Campus for care.
Bringing care closer to families
Donors enable us to give more families access to our expert pediatric care, so we can improve the health of children across the region and beyond.
When a child is sick or hurt, they need care that takes into consideration all the ways they’re different. At Children’s Colorado, our facilities and equipment are uniquely tailored to kids. Our highly-trained care team specializes in the needs of children, and our doctors are renowned leaders in their respective specialties.
That’s why support of our growth is so critical. Your donation enables Children’s Colorado to expand access to pediatric specialty care, both in physical locations across the state and remotely through telehealth technologies and care alliances throughout our seven-state region.
Receiving care closer to home eases the emotional and financial burden on our patients and their families. It means families from rural areas can spend less time in the car and more time together when their child needs it most. It means less disruption to work and school.
When you donate to Children’s Colorado, you give health, healing and more nights at home. With community support, we can ensure that our region’s children have access to the resources and expertise of one of the best pediatric hospitals in the nation.
3 ways donors make a difference
1. Building a local hospital for southern Colorado kids
The new Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs will transform children’s health throughout the region. Nearly 250,000 children and teens live in southern Colorado, and donor support gives these children convenient access to some of the best pediatric health care in the country.
2. Supporting rural health providers
Thanks to your support, Children’s Colorado is building partnerships to enhance pediatric health care in rural communities, where specialty care is often limited or non-existent. Donors enable our team to educate primary care providers on child health issues ranging from mental health warning signs to newborn screenings. We also offer extensive resources — including local training clinics, online toolkits and e-consultations — that empower local caregivers to provide better care for kids region wide.
3. Providing expertise through telehealth
Studies show that kids treated by caregivers with pediatric training have better health outcomes. That’s why we’re grateful to the donors who have enabled Children’s Colorado to launch telehealth programs that give families unprecedented access to the expertise of a top pediatric hospital. Through telemedicine, our caregivers can provide health care services remotely. That means families can access our pediatric experts from almost anywhere in the world.
