The Anschutz Medical Campus has announced a generous challenge commitment from The Anschutz Foundation to support pediatric mental health. Of the potential $50 million committed to the University of Colorado Anschutz, $25 million is directed to Children’s Colorado to advance mental health prevention and clinical care for children across our region.

Increasing Rural Access in La Plata County

Dollar-for-dollar match up to $200,000

La Plata County, in southwest Colorado has one of the highest youth suicide-attempt rates in the state. Children and families facing serious mental health challenges cannot wait for improved access to care.

Children’s Colorado is partnering with local organizations to expand access to pediatric mental health services in La Plata County. A generous anonymous donor has committed a dollar-for-dollar challenge match up to $200,000 to support this work through Dec. 31, 2026.
