Pediatric care closer to home
For the first time in southern Colorado history, kids and families now have a pediatric hospital to call their own. Opened on July 17, 2019, Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs serves as the area’s first pediatric-only hospital, providing southern Colorado kids with expert care, much closer to home.
The hospital features the first and only pediatric emergency department in southern Colorado. First and only pediatric behavioral health emergency program in the region. The only pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) between Denver and Albuquerque. And the first and only pediatric surgery center, pediatric sleep study center and epilepsy monitoring unit in the region.
