Thank you so much for volunteering at Courage Classic! Whether it’s your first tour or your thirtieth, this weekend wouldn’t be possible without volunteers like you! This website contains a general overview of all volunteer jobs. Your supervisor will be in touch by July 1 with detailed schedules/route placement (if applicable) and important information to successfully complete your assignment. All volunteer jobs are located in Copper Mountain, Colorado. All volunteers must provide own transportation to and during the event.
We recommend bookmarking this page on your mobile device to access easily while in Copper Mountain. Both links above will be updated periodically. Please check back occasionally for any changes to assignments, responsibilities and materials in the Dropbox/Google drive folders.
General Volunteer Information
Multi-day Volunteer Check-in:
Friday, July 18, 4-8 p.m. | Copper Conference Center
Saturday, July 19, 5:30-9 a.m. | Copper Conference Center
Check-in will be located at the Information Tent in Eagle’s Landing starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
One-day Volunteers: You will receive your tour assignment, t-shirt, safety vest (if applicable) and wristband in the mail the week prior to the event. You do not need to check in at Copper Mountain. Please make sure you bring all items with you to your assignment.
Volunteer Wristband: You will receive your wristband at volunteer check-in or in your mailed packet. The wristband acts as your tour ID and meal ticket, so please wear your wristband for the duration of the tour.
What to Bring to Your Volunteer Assignment: Please wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing to your volunteer assignment. You’ll also want to pack a bag containing the following items: volunteer wristband, screenshot of assignment/duties, water bottle/hydration, small cooler with snacks and drinks, sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, hat), lip balm, bug repellent, layers for warmth (early morning shifts can be chilly) rain gear, watch, folding chair, umbrella and cell phone/car charger.
Have Fun – Get Creative! Courage Classic volunteers wear costumes, Hawaiian-style leis and funny hats, and bring noise-makers (cowbells, horns) and pompoms to encourage riders along the route. Feel free to be creative as long as your outfit doesn’t interfere with your assigned duties and is appropriate for a family-oriented event.
